Access to the Page Text editor and Page Details
- Go to the Pages overview.
- Select a Page to edit. The manager redirects you to the Page text editor.
- The text editor is located in the center of the page, while the Page details can be found in the right side bar.
Page text editor
When you create a blank article or custom page, the first thing you see when entering the Page text editor are the Title and the first textblock. These fields are mandatory fields to create and publish an article. When using an article template to create a Page, the pre-filled modules will be visible in the text editor.
When a new article is created, the Title field is pre-filled with the title entered in Page settings and can still be adjusted.
Adding Modules
Select Add module at the bottom of the screen to add additional text fields to the Page text editor.
Available modules include:
- Textblock - Textblocks are used to create the main body text of an article. Only textblocks can be added multiple times.
- Subtitle - The Subtitle module can be used to add a subtitle below the article title.
- Summary - The Summary module is used to display a short summary of the article.
- Boilerplate - The Boilerplate module is used to display standard company information at the end of an article.
- AI disclaimer - An AI disclaimer module can be used to indicate that AI was used in the creation of the article content.
Textblock
Textblocks are used to create the main body text of an article. Additional textblocks can be added throughout the article, making it possible to place other modules between sections of text. They can be reordered via the Page layout.
When hovering over a textblock, additional actions become available:
- Insert an inline image - Wrap a text around an image to place it side by side a text, at the top of the textblock. These images can be downloaded or shared on social media by visitors.
- Add a textblock above or below the current textblock
- Delete the textblock
Adding inline images
- Click the image icon and select Select an image from Asset Manager. After adding the image you can:
- Set the alignment
- Adjust the width
- Opt to Wrap the text around the image
Go to Image gallery and Text editor image to understand the different ways of adding images.
Formatting texts in the modules
Most modules, except title and subtitle, contain a formatting toolbar for styling and structuring text.
The toolbar provides access to common formatting and media actions. You can format text to create structure and improve readability, or add inline media to enrich your content.
The available options are:
- AI - Generative AI, including actions such as rewrite, tone adjustments, and translation are available.
- Undo or redo changes
- Headings - Use headings to divide your content into clear sections. This also helps SEO because search engines use subheadings to understand page structure.
- Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough - Emphasize key texts.
- Font color
- Underscript
- Subscript
- Insert link - Add hyperlinks to direct readers to other pages.
- Insert anchor - Add an anchor to direct readers to a specific location on the page .
- Bullet and numbered lists - Present information clearly.
- Alignment
- Remove formatting
- Insert symbol
- Insert table
- Insert image - Insert images directly inside your text. Image settings can be found by clicking on the image once added: change the alignment and size, set an alternative text, or add a link to the image. Newsroom visitors cannot download or share these images on social media.
- Source - Videos can be added by copy-pasting the html code from video platforms into the Source field.
Summary field
When hovering over the Summary module, additional actions become available:
- Add/remove title - an additional title to the Summary and opt to display the title on the published article page
Boilerplate field
When hovering over the Boilerplate module, additional actions become available:
- Add title - Add a title to the Boilerplate and opt to display the title on the published article page.
- Mass edit - Mass edit the boilerplate to update boilerplates in all articles, from the same language, where the module has been added. This helps save time and avoid repetitive edits.
Edit texts with generative AI support
AI can be used to support writing articles by rewriting existing content, and improving clarity or tone. It helps speed up content creation while allowing you to review, edit, and adjust the output before publishing, ensuring full control over the final article.
Enable AI in the Advanced account settings. Once enabled, AI is available directly in the formatting toolbar or module actions to summarise or rewrite a text, change the tone, and translate the texts.
Page details panel
The Page details panel is located on the right side of the editor and contains article settings and metadata.
These settings control how the article appears throughout the newsroom, in article previews, and in search engine results.
Featured image
The Featured image is the main visual visible with the article preview in the Newsroom modules (ie. Carousel and Headlines Module), Archive pages, Search results and when distributing Pages to Social Media.
Add a Featured image:
- Click Add featured image to select an image from the Asset manager. You can also upload a new image directly from the Asset Manager.
- Hover over the image for additional actions:
- Crop - If the featured image is cropped in a way that's not to your liking, you have the option to edit the thumbnail.
- Replace - Replace the current image with a new one.
- Remove - Remove image.
- Below the thumbnail you can find the featured image settings:
- Display Featured Image on top of page - The featured image appears at the top of the article page.
-
Use alternative banner image - The Alternative banner image allows you to select an additional image for the Banner, Carousel and Featured article. This is useful when using a module that has a different ratio and cropping the regular featured image does not work due to different image dimensions. You can:
- Crop featured image - Crop the current image for a different focus, this will be saved as an additional preview.
- Select a new image from the Asset manager.
Tags
Newsroom tags help categorize articles and support filtering in the Newsroom modules, navigation, and archive pages. Tags can be used across the platform for organization and content discovery.
- Tag dropdown - Add one or more tags to the Article.
- Create new tag - Users given the correct permissions, have the option to create new tags.
- Display tags on Page - Check this to show the selected tags on the Article for visitors.
Go to Newsroom Tags for more details.
Excerpt
The Excerpt controls the preview text displayed alongside article listings. If no Excerpt is provided, the platform automatically generates preview text using the Summary or the first article text.
Meta title
The Meta title defines how the page title appears in search engine results. By default, this is the Account name or the Page title. You can overwrite it with a custom title.
For best SEO results, keep the title within 60 characters and make sure it clearly reflects the page content.
Go to Customize Meta information for SEO for more details.
Slug (article's unique URL)
The Slug is the unique part of the article URL and is automatically based on the article title. You can edit it, but changing the slug after the article is published is not recommended because existing links may break and search engine indexing can be affected. Instead you can opt to add an extra slug:
- Add extra slug - Add alternative URLs that redirect to the same article (301 redirect). This is useful when updating URLs while keeping existing links active.
Publish date and city
The Publish date and location section controls how publication information is displayed on the article:
- Display publish date - Shows or hides the publication date on the Article page
-
Publish city - Display the location next to the publish date. This information is visible to visitors when a location is added to the field.
