00:00 Media Library Settings

To set up your Media Library, first locate the Media Library section.
In the Settings page, you can change the page title and add a page text to personalize your Media Library.

00:22 Add (sub)categories in the Category Manager

To add categories and subcategories, go to the Category Manager.
Here, you can create the categories you see on the left-hand side of the media gallery.

Click Add Category to create a new category. Fill out the category title.
By default, the title will also be used as the tag name.

To add a subcategory, click the drop-down icon next to a category.
Make sure to manually add a tag for subcategories — if left empty, the subcategory will not be activated.

01:08 Asset Manager: add Assets to the Categories

To add new media assets to your Media Library, navigate to the Asset Manager.

The Asset Manager can be found at the top of the left-hand menu on any of the newsroom pages.
You can also access it via the Multimedia modules.

To add an asset to a category, select the appropriate tag from the dropdown in the Category column.

Now the assets have been added to a category, for example the new subcategory "Puppies".

01:51 Exclude Assets From Media Library

If you wish to hide assets from the media library.

Go to the Asset Manager, and open the options for the asset you want to hide and select Exclude from Media Library.

This will exclude the asset from the media library and it will not appear anymore.

02:16 Advanced Account Settings: Manual Media Selection

Lastly, all newly added assets are included in the media library by default

To change this and exclude all new assets

Go to your advanced account settings

On the page check the option Exclude Media Assets from Media Library.
Now all newly uploaded assets will be excluded from the media library.

Giving you more control on what appears in the media library.
