How to change the settings of the Media Library page of a Newsroom.
This article will explain how to change some of the settings on the Media Library page of a Newsroom.
1. Go to "Cases".
2. Click on "Media Library".
3. Click on the "Settings" button.
4. Enter a title to appear at the top of the Media Library page, and a subtitle if desired, in the fields provided. By default, there is no title or subtitle.
You can also add a publish city to their Media Library by filling out the Publish city field. This field is auto-filled with the Contact city from the Newsroom if available. This field is optional.
The 'Safename' field is auto generated when a user types in a title but this can be overwritten. The safename must be unique and can't contain any special characters. After a Media Library has been published, the safename cannot be changed anymore.
The tags are used in the Meta keywords of the Media Library. The 'Tag library' shows all tags connected to Headline modules and Releases in order of "Most used". The order can be switched to alphabetical order. You can also search for tags by using the input in the Tag library.
Finally, the featured image is used in the metadata for Facebook Open Graph. When you share the Media Library in a Facebook post, the featured image will be used along with the link. The Featured image can be easily added by clicking on "Add". The Media Manager opens and you'll be able to select one image. To remove the featured image from a Media Library, you can click on "Delete". By default the Featured image is empty unless you have enabled a default featured image in the Account settings in the Logo & Favicon section.
5. Click "Save".
The filled out settings will now appear on the Media Library page of the Newsroom.
To remove a title, click into the "Title" field, and delete the existing title. Click "Save". The title will no longer be visible on the Media Library.
PDF files will usually show up in the Media Library with a default PDF icon as a thumbnail. To change this, go into Adobe Reader and open the PDF file. Hit Ctrl+K and then choose 'example of pdf thumbnail in Windows'. Then, click 'OK'.
