Use cases for hiding Pages

Hiding a Page is useful when content needs to be published but not fully visible across the Newsroom.

Common scenarios include:

  • Publishing an article under embargo. The Page can remain hidden from the Newsroom and archive so visitors are not aware of its existence until it is ready to go live.
  • Creating content that should only appear in a feed. For example, you can publish separate Pages for calendar events and hide them from the Newsroom and archive while keeping them available in the XML feed. This feed can then be used on an external events page or integrated into another platform.
  • Temporarily removing a Page from search results or the Newsroom without unpublishing it.

  3. Uncheck the areas you want to exclude the article from.

    • No Index - Enable this option if you want to prevent the page from being indexed by search engines.
    • No Follow - Enable this option if you want to prevent the links on this page from being indexed by search engines.
