Adding a Featured Image in your press release
To display content on the Newsroom, some modules, for example the Carousel and Headlines Module, use an image to accompany the text of the press release. This image is called a 'featured image' and it's one of the most important items in your release. Not only is it shown on the main page of your newsroom, it's also the image being used when you share your release on social media, such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
The images above each release in that screenshot are all featured images.
You can add one by editing a release and scrolling all the way down. You'll see the option to add a Featured Image, next to the Publish city, the tags and the unique link to your release.
Click on 'Add featured image' to select a Featured Image from the Media Manager. From within the Media Manager you'll also be able to upload a new image.
If the featured image is cropped in a way that's not to your liking, you have the option to crop and edit the thumbnail until it looks good.
The link 'Optional banner image' lets you select an additional image in case you have a Carousel module with very wide images and cropping your regular featured image doesn't work because of the different image dimensions.
