Adding a Featured Image in your article
To display content on the Newsroom, some modules, for example the Carousel and Headlines Module, use an image to accompany the text of the article. This image is called a 'featured image' and it's one of the most important items in your article. Not only is it shown on the main page of your newsroom, it's also the image being used when you share your article on social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
The images next to each article in that screenshot are all featured images.
You can add a Featured Image by editing an article. In the article text you can scroll all the way down and there you'll see the option to add a Featured Image, next to the Publish city, the tags and the unique link to your article.
Click on 'Add featured image' to select a Featured Image from the Asset Manager. From within the Asset Manager you'll also be able to upload a new image.
If the featured image is cropped in a way that's not to your liking, you have the option to crop and edit the thumbnail until it looks good.
The link 'Optional banner image' lets you select an additional image in case you have a Carousel module with very wide images and cropping your regular featured image doesn't work because of the different image dimensions.
