What is Inquiries?
Inquiries is the Presspage workspace for handling media requests from intake to resolution. Each Inquiry stores the contact, status, assignee, deadline and internal notes, so your team keeps the full context of every request in one place.
Before you begin
An Admin sets up the Inquiry email address. If you are not an Admin, ask an Admin on your account to complete Step 1 before you start.
Step 1: Set up Inquiries
Inquiries turns every email sent to your Inquiry email address into a new Inquiry. An Admin creates this address in the Inquiries settings and chooses a default assignee, who is notified of each new Inquiry. For accounts with more than one language, an Admin can also add a language-specific address per language.
If your team replies to Inquiries from Presspage, each user also sets their own sender name. See Inquiries Settings for all setup steps.
Note: Inquiries and Presspage Mail each need their own email address. You cannot use the same address for both.
Step 2: Bring requests into Inquiries
Once your Inquiry email address is set up, route requests to it from the channels your team already uses:
- Set it as the Reply-To address in your Presspage Mail campaigns
- Add the Inquiries module to your Newsroom, so visitors can send requests straight to Inquiries
- Forward a shared inbox automatically, such as your press office address
- Forward individual emails from your personal inbox
You can also add an Inquiry manually, for example to log a phone call. See Adding Inquiries for how to set up each channel and complete the Inquiry form.
Step 3: Track and reply to Inquiries
The Inquiries Overview lists all requests with their status, assignee and deadline. Use the side menu to switch between statuses:
- Unread: Inquiries nobody has opened yet
- Open: Inquiries your team is currently handling
- Pending: Inquiries where you have sent a response and expect a reply
- Closed: completed Inquiries that need no further action
Search and filter to find a specific request. See Inquiries Overview.
Open an Inquiry to reply, log a phone call or email, add an internal note, assign a colleague, set a deadline and change the status. See Updating Inquiries.
