00:00 Introduction to Publishing
Once you're ready to publish your page, go to the Publish options at the bottom.
This will take you to the Publish Status page.
00:12 Publication Settings
Before publishing, let's go over the publication settings and options.
First, you’ll see Page Visible In. Once you publish the page, these are the areas where it will appear.
If you would like to exclude the page from any of these areas, simply deselect the corresponding checkboxes.
Next, there’s Page Indexation. This is for SEO purposes.
If you want to exclude the page from being indexed by web crawlers, select No Index.
If there are links on the page that should also be excluded from web crawlers, select No Follow.
Moving down the page:
You can always send a preview link to stakeholders to review the article.
Additionally, from the platform, you can notify users directly via notifications.
Select Notify Users and choose the users you would like to email the preview link to.
If you're working on confidential material, and the page needs to stay protected even after publishing, use the Embargo option.
Check the embargo box, then set a username and password.
Only visitors who enter the credentials can view the article.
All other visitors will see your security wall.
00:53 Extra Options
Now, let's move on to publishing.
On the Publish Status page, the page is currently marked as Unpublished.
From here, you can either Publish Now or Schedule the publication.
If you want to schedule the article, choose a date and time in the future.
The platform will automatically publish the page at the selected time.
For now, I’ll click Publish Now.
After clicking Save, you’ll need to confirm once more.
Once confirmed, your article is published.
To view the article, click View.
You will see the article that we just published.
