Campaign Editor

The Campaign Editor is where the Email Campaigns are build by dragging and dropping Email modules into the live Preview. The Campaign Editor can be accessed from Creating a new campaign or by selecting an existing Campaign from the Email overview page. This article explains how the Campaign editor works.

Build the campaign in the Campaign editor

The Campaign editor allows you to build an email campaign by adding and arranging a variety of modules to your campaign. The left side shows you a live updating preview of what your email looks like. The right side helps you build the campaign, and consists of three tabs:

  • Module manager - Select the email modules to add them to the campaign
  • Module settings - Once a module is enabled, modify the content of the module in the settings.
  • Campaign settings - Manage the the subject, sender, preview text and template.

Adding and editing Email Modules

Via the Module manager you can add the email modules to your campaign. The available modules are:

  1. Click on a module or drag and drop it into the email preview screen on the left.

  2. Adding the module to the campaign, or selecting a module from the preview, activates the module settings to add and edit the content.

  3. Once the changes are complete click Save & Quit to confirm and close the module.

Editing the Campaign from the Preview section

In the Campaign editor preview section there are additional editing options:

  • Reorder the modules by dragging and dropping them in the left preview section.

  • Hover over any module to highlight additional options:
    • Duplicate - Duplicate a module in the campaign, which you can continue to edit in the module settings on the right.
    • Pencil - Open the module settings for further changes
    • Trash - Remove the module from the campaign
    • Save (floppy disk) - Save the module and its' current settings to the Template library folder. This allows you to reuse the module in other campaigns.

Previewing an Email Campaign

In the Campaign editor, click the Preview campaign dropdown in the top right to review the campaign before sending it: 

  • Enter preview mode - Opens a new tab where the email can be viewed in the browser.
  • Send a test email - Add your own or co-workers email addresses to send a test email. Add multiple email addresses by adding commas (without spaces) in between. The sent test email will show [TEST] in the subject line.

Leaving the Campaign Editor

Once the Email campaign is ready, select Recipients in the breadcrumb or bottom right to add contacts to the email or close the draft campaign to continue elsewhere. The campaign will be saved and can be reopened at a later time.

Re-syncing Article content from the Campaign editor

If a Campaign is connected to an Article via the integration, a Resync campaign button will be visible next to the Preview campaign dropdown. Click this button to update the Campaign based on the connected Article.
