How to set up subscribe email translations

If you have set up a Subscriptions Module, allowing visitors to join your mailing list(s), you'll need them to confirm their subscription. This is a requirement in many jurisdictions to help combat spam. Presspage allows you to send these confirmation emails in any language that has been added to your Newsroom.

So if you have an English and a German newsroom, you'll be able to add a German translation for the subscribe email. The English version is included by default, but can be changed to your liking.

To add a translation to the subscribe email, first go to Email in the navigation bar:

Then, choose 'Settings' in the sidebar to the left:

You'll see three tabs. Choose the middle tab, called 'Subscribe email translations'.

The 'Switch language' dropdown menu lets you choose the language for which you want to add a translation:

Suppose you choose German. The view will then look as follows:

You'll now have to option to substitute the text in each field with their appropriate translation:

When you're done, click 'Save'. If you want, you can click 'Show preview' to see how the confirmation email would look.

Click 'Close preview' to close the preview.

You can also send a confirmation after the recipient has unsubscribed:

Checking the box opens up the option to choose a title, subject line and body text of the unsubscribe confirmation email, as well as the option to add a 'back to newsroom' button:
