Preventing search engines from indexing feeds or search results
To give you more influence over which Newsroom pages end up in Google's search results and which don't, the indexation options have been expanded to control this on a more granular level.
First, go to 'Newsroom' in the navigation bar:
In the sidebar, click on 'Miscellaneous', and then 'SEO options'.
You'll see the index options all the way to the bottom.
By default, all checkboxes except 'search results' are checked, which means that those pages are being indexed. Search results are not being indexed unless you check the box.
Checking the 'No Index' box means that the Newsroom as a whole will not be indexed. As a consequence, the 'index options' below will be hidden. Similarly, you can make the index options (re)appear by unchecking 'No Index'.
You have the option to exclude the following types of pages from indexation: tagged archives, the main newsroom archive, asset landing pages, the coverage overview, search results and RSS feeds.
