Use an Image gallery to display one or more downloadable images that readers can share on social media. This article explains how to add an Image gallery to a Newsroom Homepage, Custom page, or Article page, upload or embed images through the Asset Manager, manage gallery options, and copy a gallery to another language.

Understand Image Gallery Specifications
Review these specifications before adding the module so you know how images will appear and which pages support the gallery.
- The Image gallery module sits apart from the article text.
- Images can be downloaded and shared on social media.
- The image or images automatically scale to the width of the main column on the page.
- You cannot manually change the image size.

Add an Image Gallery
Add the module from the page editor, then select the assets you want to display. You can add more than one gallery by repeating the procedure.

Go to the Newsroom dropdown and select Homepage, or go to Pages and select the page you want to edit.

In the sidebar, open the Multimedia dropdown and choose Images.

Click Add module to add an Image gallery module.

Click Select asset(s) to open the Asset Manager.
- In the Asset Manager, select the images to add to the Image gallery, or add new images by selecting Upload items.

Click Select to save the selected images to the Image gallery.
- To add more Image gallery modules, select Add module again and repeat the steps.
Upload or Embed Images
Use the Asset Manager to embed an image from an external source or upload an image file from your computer. After the images are ready, select them and add them to the Image gallery.

In the Asset Manager, select Upload.

Choose how to add the images:
- To upload images from your computer, select Upload Items, choose the files, and wait for the green check box.
- To upload images from a web page, select Upload via URL, paste the URL, and click Save.
- Select one or more images and click Select to add them to the Image gallery.
Manage Image Gallery Options
After adding images, use the module options to organize the gallery layout and decide how the images and captions are presented.
- Display mode - Choose Default, Gallery, Wide Gallery, Carousel, or Portrait mode.
- Scroll automatic - Control whether the gallery scrolls automatically.
- Full width - Turn the module into a banner at the top of the page.
- Display captions - Show the title and/or description from the Asset Manager.
- Change image order - Drag and drop images within the module.
- Mass copy - Push the Image gallery to a localized Homepage or Page.
Copy an Image Gallery to Another Language
If your account contains multiple languages, use Mass copy to copy the Image gallery to other languages. Choose the option that matches how you want to handle the gallery in the destination language.
- Overwrite Image module - Replace the existing Image module.
- Create new module - Add the Image gallery as a new module.
- Skip this language - Do not copy the Image gallery to this language.
Troubleshoot a Failed Image Upload
If an image upload fails, check the file format, file size, and file name. An upload can fail when:
- The file format is unsupported.
- The file size exceeds 1 GB.
- The file name contains special characters such as quotation marks or asterisks.
