The "Headlines" module is the central organization functionality for articles and how they appear on the main Newsroom homepage, custom pages, or article pages. It allows the user to break up the Newsroom front page in a visually interesting way, and group similar articles together. You can use it for a "related news" section as well.
This article will explain how to create headline sections, and assign them tags that will correspond to articles to publish them in the correct section.

Add a Headlines Module
- In the sidebar, click on 'Miscellaneous', and then click the “Headlines” module.
- To create a Headline, click the green “Add Module” button.
- Enter the title of the Headline. Check the option 'Show title in Newsroom / Page' to make it visible on the Homepage or Page.

Add a tag that corresponds to one or more articles. Any article that has a matching tag will automatically appear under that Headline’s section. Check the option 'Show tags in Newsroom' to make the tags added to the articles visible in the headlines module.

Note: If there aren't published articles with corresponding tag, the headline will remain hidden on the Newsroom. The headline will be visible once an article is published with a matching tag.

- If you need to add more Headlines, click Add module again and repeat the above steps.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
The Headline has been added on the Newsroom.
Choose a Display Mode

Choose a layout style for the Headlines module.
All options can be displayed with or without image, check or uncheck the 'Images' option under 'Display Options'.
Select the number of previews that should be displayed in the headline.-
List: All headlines appear in a simple list.

Scroll: Articles appear in a list with a preview of the article content.

Blocks: Articles appear in a horizontal line, with a preview of the article content.

Headlines Display options
Under the display options select your additional preferred settings. The most used settings for the Headlines module can be found under 'Display options'. Additionally, you can find the additional settings by clicking the button 'Show more display options'.
Display options
The following options are available:
- Images. Show the featured image next to the headline. If the featured image isn't available, the account logo will be shown
- Video thumbnail. When the headline contains a Youtube video, the featured image will be replaced by a video thumbnail. (Not available in List modus)
- Include previously displayed articles. By default, an article that appears in a Featured Article or News Carousel will not appear a second time on the page. When you check this option those articles will appear again in the headline on the same page.
- Show link. Show a link that lead back to the full version of the article. The provided default link caption can be adjusted
More display options
The following options are available:
- Show RSS button.

Show Archive button. The archive button takes a visitor to the archive page of the headlines module.
- Display options:
- Icon. three horizontal lines.

Text button. Add text in the Button label field and choose position (top right corner or centered below the headline).
- Display options:
- Show article description. The field below allows you to set a character limit.
- Include tagged articles from other Headline modules on the same page.
- Multimedia items. Show the number of downloadable files, images and videos connected to the headline
- Show publish date.
- Show publish city.
- Subtitle. Show the subtitle of the headline
- Exclude tags. Add an 'exclude tag' to exclude articles based on the tags. Only works if no include tags have been added.
Hide a Headline
Use this option if you want to (temporarily) disable a module but not remove it entirely. Don't remove the Headline via the Page Layout option, this will remove the module.
- Navigate to the particular Headline in the left navigation.
- Use the toggle to switch the Headline from ON to OFF.
- Select Save to apply the changes.
Remove a Headline
To remove a headline.
- In Page Layout select the trash (delete) icon.
- In the module select the X button in the top right corner of the module to be removed.
- A confirmation window will appear. Select Yes, delete to confirm the deletion.
