00:00 – Introduction to Subscriptions
To grow your contact database directly from your newsroom, use the Subscriptions module.
This feature allows site visitors to subscribe to specific topics you’ve defined—such as Company News, Blogs, or Investor Relations.
Once a visitor submits their data, they’ll need to verify their subscription via email.
This extra step ensures compliance with GDPR regulations.
You can add the Subscriptions module to your homepage, articles, or custom pages—a powerful way to engage your audience and keep your database growing.
Note: The Subscriptions module is only available for newsrooms hosted on Presspage.
01:08 – Setup Subscriptions Form: List Selection, Subscription Fields
To get started, go to the page where you want to add the form.
In the left-hand menu, find the Subscriptions module—either by using the search bar or by going to the Interactive section.
Click Add module, then set a title such as *“Sign up for updates.”*
If you want this title to be publicly visible, enable Show title in newsroom.
To let visitors choose which updates they want, enable List selection, then select the relevant contact lists.
Subscribers will be added automatically to these lists in your contact database.
By default, the Email field is included and required.
You can also add optional fields such as First Name, Last Name, or Organization.
If you’d like to make any of these required, use the Requirements tab.
You can also check Show this module in all releases to display the form across your entire newsroom.
02:24 – Options: GDPR Consent, Notifications, Confirmation Messages
For GDPR compliance, add a custom agreement text to the form.
To keep your team in the loop, enter email addresses under Receive email notifications.
This will notify team members when someone subscribes.
You can also customize various system messages, such as:
- Confirmation messages
- Error messages
- Invalid email warnings
This helps create a seamless user experience for your subscribers.
03:01 – Edit Confirmation Emails
To modify the confirmation email, click the option in the lower right corner of the module.
You’ll be taken to the email settings, where you can:
- Customize the verification email sent to new subscribers
- Set up an unsubscribe confirmation email
After making changes, click Save.
03:21 – Page Layout
To finish setup, go to the Page Layout section.
Drag the Subscriptions module into the right spot on the page layout—and you're done!
Your Subscriptions module is now live and ready to help you engage your audience.
