This article explains how to personalize a Presspage email campaign for each contact using placeholders.
A placeholder lets you show different content to different recipients using a single email. Instead of creating a separate email for each contact, you can send one email that automatically fills in personal details for each recipient.
For example, if you're sending a pitch to a list of 50 contacts, you can use the first_name placeholder to send one email with a "Dear first_name" introduction. Each recipient receives the email with their own first name filled in: a recipient named Greg receives "Dear Greg," and a recipient named Tina receives "Dear Tina."
Presspage currently supports the first_name and last_name placeholders. You can add these to the Text or Image and Text Module.
Add a placeholder to an email
- Open the Text or Image and Text Module in your email campaign.
- Click Placeholder.
- Choose the placeholder you want from the dropdown menu.

The placeholder appears in your email text. When the email sends, it's automatically replaced with each recipient's actual first or last name.
