Buttons

The Button Module is a quick way for readers to navigate to another Page, Homepage, or to an external site. This article will explain how to set up one or more "Button Modules", and how to customize them with text and images.

Adding a Buttons module

  1. Open the Newsroom dropdown and select Homepage or Pages, to edit an individual Page.

  2. In the sidebar, open Interactive tab and then choose Buttons.

  3. Click New Module to the right.

  4. In the details screen configure the module:
    • Title - Enter a title for the button (optional). To make the Button Title visible on the Homepage or Page, check the Show title box
    • Settings - check Show this module in all releases if you want the same buttons to appear on all Pages.

  5. Click the green Add Button to start adding buttons to the module.
  6. Add as many button as needed and select Save when to confirm the changes.

The Buttons will now be visible on the Homepage or Page. 

Configuring the buttons

Once buttons are added ,configure the details in the Add button screen:

  • Title - Enter the title to appear within the button. 
  • Internal / External - Select whether the button will navigate to an internal Page, or an External webpage outside the Newsroom.
    • Internal - From the dropdown select which Page the button leads to.

    • External - Paste the URL in the box provided.

  • Open in new window - Check this option if the button should open the Page in a new tab and keeping the Newsroom open in the current tab.

  • Image - Add an image to the button, click Select Image to access the Asset Manager, to select the image from.
