Email Subscriptions

The Subscriptions module lets visitors join one or more email distribution lists directly from your newsroom. It supports GDPR compliance through explicit consent and confirmation, and subscribers receive a confirmation email before they are added to a distribution list. The module works exclusively with Contacts and Email products and cannot connect to an external CRM or mailing tool.

Adding a Subscriptions module

Add the module to a Homepage or Page, choose the distribution lists and fields visitors can use, and define whether visitors can select their own lists.

1. Go to Newsroom in the top menu and select Homepage, or find a page through Pages.

   

2. In the sidebar, open the Interactive tab and select Subscriptions.

   

3. Click Add Module.

   

4. Configure the module:

   • Title - Enter a title and select Show title on this Page to display it.

     

   • Add Subscriber to lists - Choose the distribution lists.

     

   • Enable list selection by subscriber - Enable this option if visitors should choose the lists they join.

     

   • Subscription fields - The email address is always required. You can also make the following fields optional or mandatory:

     • First name and Last name - These fields overwrite existing CRM settings.
     • Organization - This field is added to existing details.
     • Job title - Available only if Organization is added.
     • Phone number and Country - These fields are added to existing details where applicable.

     

5. Save the module.

Customize confirmation and error messages

Customize the messages visitors see after they submit a subscription request and the verification email they receive.

• Confirmation message - Appears after a successful request.
• Failed Message - Appears when the subscription cannot be completed, for example when the visitor is already subscribed.
• Verification email - After submission, visitors receive a confirmation email. Select Edit the Confirmation Email above Save to customize it.

Require agreement to Terms and Conditions

Require visitors to agree to your terms before they submit a subscription request by enabling the agreement checkbox and defining its text and error message.

1. Enable Enable agreement checkbox.

   

2. Add the Terms and Conditions text.
3. Configure the error message.

Enable subscription notifications

Premium and Enterprise users can receive email notifications when visitors submit subscription requests.

1. Add one or more email addresses, separated by commas.

2. Click Save.
