Email Statistics

This article covers the statistics of sent Email campaigns.

To go to the Campaign details and statistics:

  1. Click on Email in the top navigation.
  2. In Email, open the Sent Campaigns from the left menu.
  3. Select a campaign from the list, this will take you to the tabs View campaign and Campaign statistics.

Under the View Campaign tab you can find:

  • Subject
  • Sender
  • Date Sent (date and time)
  • Recipients included:
    • Total contacts
    • *Contact Lists
    • *Media Database lists 
  • Full preview of the email (the unsubscribe link is disabled in the preview)
  • Back to release button. If an email has been connected to an existing (Article) Page, this takes you back to the Page's Publish Options.

*Lists and Media Database lists only appear if they have been added to the campaign. Hover over the 'i' icon to view the (Media Database) list titles. 

Campaign Statistics

The statistics are divided into three main sections: General, Recipient, and Link clicks.

General statistics

The General tab provides a summary of key metrics:

  • Recipients: Shows to how many recipients, of the total added recipients, your campaign was sent to.
  • Opens: Displays the number of opens (how many individual recipients opened the email).
  • Clicks: Displays the number of clicks on links within the campaign.
  • Unique/Total dropdown: filter on unique or total numbers.
  • Unsubscribed: Tracks how many recipients unsubscribed via this campaign.
  • Complaints: Indicates how many recipients marked the email as spam.
  • Hard bounces: Emails that were permanently undeliverable.
  • Soft bounces: Emails that could not be delivered temporarily (e.g., mailbox full).
  • Export the statistics using the Export dropdown. There are two options:
    • General campaign results
    • All recipient results
  • The Recent activity panel shows a chronological timeline of recipient actions including email address, and date and time of the action:
    • Opened: When a recipient opened the email.
    • Clicked: When a recipient clicked a link.
    • Unsubscribed or Bounced (if applicable).

Recipient statistics

The Recipient tab in Campaign Statistics allows you to review the performance of your email campaign at the individual recipient level.

At the top of the Recipient tab, you can filter results with the Events Filter. This filter helps you quickly analyse specific engagement behaviors:

  • All Events – Shows every tracked action.
  • Clicks – Only shows recipients who clicked a link.
  • Opens – Only shows recipients who opened the email.
  • Hard bounces – Displays recipients whose email addresses could not be delivered to permanently.
  • Unsubscribed – Shows recipients who unsubscribed via this campaign.
  • Complained – Displays recipients who reported the email as spam.

Use the Search recipients field to quickly find and review statistics for a particular recipient.

In the Recipient List you can view:

  • Recipient information: Name and email address.
  • Last Event: The most recent tracked interaction (e.g., Sent, Opened, Clicked) along with date and time.
  • All Events: A summary of all tracked actions for that recipient. The icons represent different actions:
    • Opens (green) – Number of times the recipient opened the email.
    • Clicks (blue) – Number of times the recipient clicked a link.
    • Sent (blue) – Number of delivery attempts.
    • Hard Bounces – The email has been rejected by the recipients email server permanently
    • Unsubscribes – The recipient has chosen to unsubscribe from your email campaigns, using the unsubscribe link in the bottom of the email.
    • Complained – The user has marked the email as SPAM.
    • Failed – The email wasn't sent to this user successfully.

Use the Export statistics dropdown to download recipient-level data into a CSV format for further analysis or reporting.

Link Clicks

The Link clicks table displays all links included in your campaign along with their performance data.

  • Item: The URL of the link included in the campaign.
  • Type: Indicates the type of link (e.g., article, image, or other):
    • Text modules
    • Links connected to articles via the Article module
    • Links connected to multimedia (images, buttons and downloads)
  • Total Clicks: The total number of times the link was clicked (including multiple clicks by the same recipient).
  • Unique Clicks: The number of unique recipients who clicked the link at least once.

Export Statistics for Multiple Campaigns

Export campaign statistics in bulk, to quickly gather data from multiple email campaigns at once. This is useful for reporting, trend analysis, or sharing performance metrics with your team.

  1. Go to Sent Campaigns in your dashboard.
  2. Select the campaigns you want to export by checking the boxes next to their titles. Select as many campaigns as needed.
  3. The number of selected campaigns will appear at the top (e.g., 5 campaigns selected).
  4. Click on the Export dropdown at the top of the list.
  5. A CSV file will be generated and downloaded to your computer.

View aggregated Email Statistics for a Contact

Each contact in Presspage includes aggregated statistics that show how they have interacted with your email campaigns. These insights help you understand engagement at the individual level and track the effectiveness of your communication.

To find the Contact Statistics:

  1. Go to Contacts in the top navigation.
  2. Select the contact you want to review.
  3. The statistics tab is on the right side of the screen.

The General Activity panel provides a quick overview of how this contact has engaged with your email campaigns. These metrics are aggregated across all campaigns where this contact was included.:

  • Sends – The number of times an email campaign has been sent to this contact.
  • Clicks – The total number of times the contact clicked on links within email campaigns.
  • Opens – The total number of times the contact opened emails.

Below the general overview, the Campaign Activity section lists the contact’s activity for specific campaigns. This section allows you to drill down into which campaigns the contact interacted with and how.
