This article explains how to set up Brand Context in Presspage. Brand Context lets you define a profile for your brand, including your narrative, communication pillars, tone of voice, and terminology, which the platform uses to power the GEO & SEO Assistant (beta).
Note: The Allow AI toggle in Advanced account settings must be enabled before you can use Brand Context (administrators only).

Enable AI driven content services
Go to Settings > Account settings > Brand Context. Turn on Enable AI driven content services to let the platform optimize page content for SEO, GEO, [link to GEO & SEO Optimisation Assistant (beta)], based on the information you configure on this page.
Generate or manually create your Brand Personality
When you enable Enable AI driven content services, the platform asks how you want to set up your Brand Personality.
Choose one of the following:
- Auto-generate Brand Personality - Click Start under Auto-generate Brand Personality to let Presspage scan your last 20 published articles and generate a profile based on those.
- Manually create Brand Personality - Click Manually create Brand Personality to set up each field yourself.
Set your brand narrative
Under the Global tab, add your brand narrative — a single sentence describing the essence of your brand. Presspage uses this to keep AI-generated and AI-optimized content aligned with your brand identity.
- Select the Global tab.
- Enter your brand narrative in the Brand narrative field.
Define your key communication pillars
Key communication pillars are the 3–5 things you always want your content to communicate. The platform references these pillars when optimizing content through the AI assistance.
- Enter or edit a pillar in one of the numbered fields.
- Click the X next to a pillar to remove it.
- Repeat until you've listed 3–5 pillars.
Set your tone of voice
Tone of Voice defines the personality and emotional quality of your communication. The platform applies these settings when generating or adjusting content with the AI assistant.
Configure the following:
- Formality – How formal or casual your content should sound. Choose from Balanced, Formal, or Conversational.
- Positioning tone – How your brand should come across. Choose from Neutral (objective, factual), Authoritative (expert, credible), or Approachable (human, accessible).
- Energy – The overall energy level of your content. Choose from Calm (measured, controlled), Balanced, or Positive (optimistic, forward-looking).
- Emphasis – The stylistic focus of your content. Choose from Clear & concise (journalist-friendly), Inspirational (vision, leadership messaging), or Reassuring (crisis or sensitive comms).
Add terminology do's and don'ts
Use Terminology to tell the AI assistant which words or phrases to use or avoid.
- Under DO'S, click Add Do and enter a term or phrase you want used.
- Under DON'TS, click Add Don't and enter a term or phrase you want avoided.
- Click the X next to an entry to remove it.
Configure language-specific settings
Select the Language specific tab to define a different tone of voice and terminology for the Brand Context of a specific language. If you don't set an override for a language, the Global tone applies.
Note: This section applies only to accounts with multiple languages configured.
- Select the Language specific tab.
- Click Select language, choose a language from the list.
- Click Add Tone of Voice & Terminology.
- Configure the tone of voice and terminology settings for that language, following the same steps as the Global tab.
- Save your changes
- Click Save to apply your Brand Context settings, or Cancel to discard changes.
