00:00 Text Editor Page Overview

In this press page tutorial, we will show you how the page text editor works. Creating pages in the text editor now gives you a better outlook on what your article will look like, keeping the page minimal and focusing only on the added text areas.

The page details are moved to the right so you can edit key settings such as the featured image and tags.

00:24 Add and editing texts

To add more fields, click Add Module and select one of the text options. You can add as many text blocks as you need.

The other fields, such as the subtitle and summary, can be added once. Each text field contains a text editor which allows you to make adjustments to your texts.

For example, adding a subheading for GEO best practices. Or use one of the styling options to make your articles easier to read.

With the text fields for the summary and boilerplate, you can add an additional title when you hover over the text block.

01:00 Text field options

Select Add Title, fill out the field, and check Show Title in Page.

Additionally, when hovering over text blocks, there are multiple options to enhance your article further.

You can:

  • Add an in-line image
  • Add a text block directly above or below the current field
  • Remove a text field if you don't need it anymore

01:44 Page Details

Under the page details in the right sidebar, you can find article settings such as the featured image and tags.

The featured image is the image which appears with the preview of the article on the newsroom, or at the top of the article if you check the option Display Featured Image on Top of Page.

Next, newsroom tags determine where the article will appear on the newsroom. Add them via the tag field. Select more tags if the article needs to appear in multiple places in the newsroom, such as:

  • In the carousel at the top of the newsroom home page
  • In a specific headlines module

Lastly, other helpful page settings which can be controlled in the sidebar are:

  • Adding an alternative opening text in the preview of the article via the excerpt field
  • Adding a meta title to appear in search engine results
  • Adding the published city to appear next to the published date at the top of the article
