This course is for teams who need to manage Contacts and Lists.

By following these modules, you will be able to import contacts, keep your database clean, build targeted contact lists, set up subscriptions, and work with Media Database lists.

Learning Path

Module 1: Contacts dashboard basics

Duration: 1 minutes

This module introduces the Contacts dashboard, and how Contacts connects with other products.

Assignment: Open Contacts and identify where you can access Contacts, Lists, Organizations, and Media Database (if enabled).

Module 2: Import contacts (CSV)

Duration: 3 minutes

This module covers importing a CSV with contacts, mapping fields, and using import options like language access and restricted access.

Assignment: Import a contact list into the platform using a CSV file and explore the available import options: choose a language (if applicable), restrict the user access. Repeat the same steps but start in the lists dashboard and create a new list first.

Module 3: Maintain and manage contacts

Duration: 3 minutes

This module covers searching, filtering, updating contact details, and keeping the database healthy (unsubscribes and hard bounces).

Assignment: Find one contact, add an internal tag, and review how you can spot inquiry-only/subscribed and review the engagements of that specific contact.

Module 4: Create and manage contact lists

Duration: 4 minutes

This module covers list creation, list settings, access controls, and adding contacts to lists.

Assignment: Create one targeted list (for example Product Updates), set an external title, restrict access to a small user group, and add existing contacts to the list.

Module 5: Subscriptions module workflow

Duration: 5 minutes

This module covers the end-to-end flow of letting visitors subscribe to lists via your Presspage hosted Newsroom and how that feeds into Contacts.

Assignment: Create a Custom page and add a subscriptions module with 1 or more lists. Add yourself or a colleague via the subscriptions form, and confirm where the new subscribers appear in Contacts.
