00:00 Introduction Newsroom Tags Manager
Hi, this is Robin from Presspage. Today, I’ll walk you through our newly introduced Newsroom Tags Manager.
This feature is available to users with the Administrator and Manager roles.
You can find the Tags Manager in the main navigation, under the Newsroom dropdown.
In the Tags Manager, you’ll see a complete overview of all the tags added to your article pages and Newsroom modules.
If you manage a multilingual account, you can switch between languages using the option on the left-hand side. This lets you view the tags for each specific language.
00:44 Add New Newsroom Tags
To add a new tag, click the Add Tag button in the Tags Manager.
01:00 Explanation Label and Tag Name
When adding a tag, first fill in the Label field. The Tag Name will automatically copy over from the label.
The label can include special characters, but the platform will automatically sanitize them to Latin letters for the tag name.
The Tag Name is used by the platform to structure your content across the right modules and archive pages.
The Label is what visitors see on your newsroom.
For example, if you want the tag to appear in the Headlines module like this, you use the label for the visible text.
01:32 Mass Edit Options: Edit, Delete, Recover
The Tags Manager also offers several mass edit options.
Any changes you make will automatically apply to all places where the tag has been used—both in newsroom modules and on article pages.
Here’s what you can do:
- Edit a Tag: Update the tag in the Tags Manager and it will update everywhere it is used.
- Delete a Tag: Remove the tag from all pages and modules.
- Recover a Deleted Tag:
If you accidentally delete a tag, simply open the Add Tag form, fill out the tag name you want to recover, and the system will recognize it.
It will prompt you with a recovery function to restore the previously deleted tag.
