Branding of the Newsroom - Vanilla Template

For the styling of all the modules in our Newsroom platform we use our default template, which we call the Vanilla Template (VT). This is the foundation that we use to implement the design requirements of our customers. The name of the template is based on vanilla ice cream. The VT is already good by itself, but (just like vanilla ice cream🍦) it gets even better when the toppings are added.

The VT is the starting point to style the Newsroom. Depending what plan you’ve purchased, we can customize the VT to meet specific branding requirements to seamlessly integrate your Newsroom into your corporate's website.

Onboarding and Redesign

During the onboarding phase, an Implementation Specialist will discuss all specific branding requirements with you. The VT will be used as the foundation and customized to align with your company's branding guidelines. The level of customization available depends on the plan that you’ve purchased.

If your Newsroom is already live and is in need of a rebrand, we will first check if the VT has been used as the foundation of your Newsroom. If not, we will offer the opportunity to convert the template into VT before making the requested changes.

Updating your Newsroom template to the Vanilla Template

In some cases, if your Newsroom design is not on the VT, we will reach out to inform you that we need to upgrade your template. In case we proactively reach out, we deem it a necessary update, and therefore we will not charge any costs for the change to the VT. Additional requests will be reviewed and might be charged.

Header & Footer

The header & footer of your newsroom are not supported with modules. There are two ways to seamlessly integrate your header & footer into the newsroom, which we explain further in this article.
