Adding buttons to an Email campaign
- In the Campaign editor, you see the Campaign preview on the left, and the Module Manager on the right.
- In the Module Manager, click the Text module to add the module to the campaign. This will open the Module Settings tab as well.
- In the Module settings configure the button:
- Button text - Add a call to action to the button
-
Target - Choose where the button should link to: to a Internal (Newsroom page), Custom (external) URL, or a File.
- Selecting File, takes you to the Asset Manager, where you select or upload file.
- Button styling - Adjust the button style
- Text styling - Adjust the text style.
-
Container styling - Adjust the container style.
- Once ready click Save and Close to confirm the changes.
Styling the button
Use the styling options to configure the button of the Email campaign.
- Background color - Choose the background color of the button,
- Border - Select a color of the button border, set the border's size in pixels, and choose whether the border should be solid, dashed or dotted.
-
Rounded corners - Use the bar to round the corners to your preference.
- Rounded corners are not supported in all email clients.
-
Position - Choose the alignment of the button in the container.
Styling the button text
Use the text styling options to configure the button text in the Email campaign.
- Size & style - Choose the text size in pixels and its color. Also, the text can be displayed in bold, italics or underlined.
- Padding vertical and horizontal - Add padding in pixels at the top, bottom, left and right of the button text.
Styling the button container
Use the text styling options to configure the container of the button in the Email campaign. This is the area that sits around the button.
- Background color - Choose a background color
-
Padding vertical and horizontal - Add padding in pixels at the top, bottom, left and right of the container, to determine the position of the button within it.
- For example: add 100 pixels of padding to the left, results in: 100 pixels of container space, then your button, and then the remaining part of the container.
Tip: Save the button as template for other Campaigns
Once the button is ready, save it to the template module library so you have a reusable component that you can add to other email campaigns without having to re-create the button all over again.
- Hover over the module and click the save icon (floppy disk).
- Add a title and a description
- Click Save and your module will be added to the Template library
