This article explains how to set up the integration between Presspage and Staffbase Communications Control, and what to keep in mind when using it.
Customers of both Staffbase Communications Control (formerly dirico) and Presspage can set up an integration between the two platforms. This lets you create content in Comms Control and push it to Presspage for publication.
Content you push to Presspage becomes a draft article, so you can make final changes before sharing it with the world.
This integration is one-way, from Comms Control to Presspage. If you make changes to your content in the Presspage environment, they won't automatically update in Comms Control.
API tokens are connected to your own user and to a single account. This means your team members can create their own API token without invalidating yours. It also means that if you have multiple accounts within a holding, you may need to create an API token in each account.
Set up the integration
- Go to Advanced Account Settings.
- Create an API token.
- Log in to Comms Control (formerly dirico).
- Add the API token in your user settings there.
Warning:
The full API token will only be shown once, so make sure you copy the token to another location before closing the pop-up.
Update token
If you generate a new API token in Presspage, the old token is invalidated. To keep the integration working:
- Generate a new API token in Advanced Account Settings.
- Replace the old token with the new one in your Comms Control user settings.
Until you update it in Comms Control, the integration will stop functioning.
