The following data trackers and cookies are used by PressPage on our customer newsrooms:
- PPSESSION: This cookie is set by the PressPage platform to enable us to anonymously track visitors and enabling us to generate CSRF tokens for Form modules and therefore absolutely necessary.
- _atuvc & _atuvs: These third party cookies are associated with the AddThis social sharing widget which is an optional element to enable visitors to share content with a range of networking and sharing platforms. It stores an updated page share count. This cookie is only set when the cookies are accepted and the AddThis widget is enabled but can be disabled in total via the Manager.
- cookie_control: This cookie stores the selected choice of the visitor to allow or decline cookies so absolutely necessary.
- Visit Tracker: This tracker is used to track the total amount of visitors of the newsroom. By default, this tracker is anonymised until the visitor accepts the cookies/trackers.
Who is responsible for notifying the visitors of the cookies/trackers on your newsrooms?
You make use of PressPage to facilitate/deliver your online newsroom(s), but remain responsible yourself for notifying your visitors of all cookies used on your newsroom. We can be seen as third party software, and it is your responsibility to communicate this to your newsroom visitors.
Does PressPage facilitate ways to assure your compliance with the GDPR, in regards to the cookies/trackers on your newsroom?
Even though it is your responsibility to notify your visitors about any cookies/trackers used on the newsroom, we have a cookie functionality available that can be enabled on your newsroom. We strongly advise you to activate this feature.
