Which file formats can I upload to the Asset Manager?

This guide will list the acceptable media file formats on the platform.

When adding media to use on a Newsroom or article such as images, video, or audio, it is helpful to know what files are accepted by the platform, and the ideal size. This quick guide will provide a list for each media type.

Images:
.jpg
.jpeg
.png
.gif
.tiff
.tif
.webp

For best results, use the highest resolution possible.  The maximum file size is 800 MB. For images that will appear in full-width Carousel or Featured Article modules, the image should be at least 1200px wide to avoid a blurry or grainy appearance.

Videos:

.avi
.mpg
.mpeg
.wmv
.mov
.flv
.qt

It is recommended to upload your video file to a hosting site such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion to get the most quality and codec support. The valid URL or embed code can then be used to add the video to the Platform.
The Platform itself only supports .mp4 files at this time. Be sure that the file is in H.264 codec.
