This article explains how Brand Guard, Presspage's AI Content Assistant scans a page for SEO and GEO issues and helps you apply fixes without leaving the Page Text Editor.

Note: Set up Brand Context before you can use the GEO & SEO Assistant.

Running a scan

Brand Guard checks a page's content and metadata against SEO and GEO best practices and Brand Context. Run a scan to generate a list of issues and recommendations for that page. You can choose a different tone of voice for each scan. Select the tone that fits the page you’re reviewing.

  1. Open the page you want to check in the page editor.
    2. \n
  2. In the Page status panel, click Run scan.
    3. \n
  3. Wait for the scan to finish. The status changes from Scanning... to your page's result.
    4. \n

Once the scan is complete, the Page status panel shows an overall status, such as Needs work, along with the number of issues found.
 

Understanding your page status

After a scan finishes, the Assistant panel opens and summarizes what needs attention. 

Additionally, any text field affected by an issue shows a red dot next to it in the page editor, making it easy to spot which fields need attention at a glance. Click the dot to open that issue directly in the Assistant panel.

Reviewing fixes and improvements

All issues found during the scan are grouped by content area, so you can work through them in order.

  1. In the Assistant panel, click Fixes & Improvements.
    2. \n
  2. Select a category, such as Information, Meta Title, Meta Description, Summary, or a specific text block, to expand it.
    3. \n
  3. Click an individual issue to open its details.
    4. \n

Each issue shows a description, a Critical or Improvements label, and the communication theme it affects, such as SEO.

Applying a recommendation

For issues with a suggested fix, the Assistant provides ready-to-use text.

  1. Open an issue that includes a Recommendation.
    2. \n
  2. Review the suggested text, such as a recommended meta title, meta description, summary, or paragraph.
    3. \n
  3. Click Apply to update the page with the recommendation, or click Generating new to request an alternative suggestion.
    4. \n

The page content updates immediately, and the issue is marked as resolved with a checkmark in the Fixes & Improvements list.

Dismissing or acknowledging an issue

Not every recommendation fits every page. You can dismiss or acknowledge an issue instead of applying it.

  1. Open the issue.
    2. \n
  2. Click Dismiss to reject a specific recommendation, or click Acknowledge for issues that don't include a direct text suggestion.
    3. \n

Dismissed and acknowledged issues stay visible in the Fixes & Improvements list so you can revisit your decisions before saving.

Saving your changes

Changes made through the Assistant aren't published until you save them.

  1. Review the live preview shown in the corner of the page editor to confirm your changes.
    2. \n
  2. Click Save to keep your changes, 
    3. \n
  3. Click Undo all changes to revert everything the Assistant applied during the session after the last time saving.
